According to Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), employee development is recognized as a strategic measure for the organization's continuous growth, thanks to increased productivity and throughput. It enhances the ability to retain valuable employees. Particularly in Vietnam, "Talent Development / Talent Development" is a topic that has received much attention from the HR community for a long time.

Understand this, PACE Institute of Management and SHRM in Vietnam organized a SHRM Café event on April 3, 2019, with the participation of many HR professionals from many corporations and businesses to discuss the above topic together.

The event was led by Mr. Vu Duc Tri The - Solution Director of PACE Institute of Management, SHRM Representative in Vietnam and Ms. Vo Ngoc Trang - Talent Acquisition and Mobility Manager at Schneider Electric Vietnam. Human Resources experts discussed and shared the definition of "Talent" and "Talent Development", the benefits of talent development strategy, as well as practical experiences in Enterprises.

Understanding these benefits, HR experts shared practical experiences on employees development and some useful methods such as: coaching, mentoring, sharing with employees, treating them like family members; proactive empowerment of employees, helping them understand that developing themselves is their responsibility, and Human Resources and Leadership only support if they ask; rotation of position of employees to create innovation.
