HR SEMINAR INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES IN THE GLOBALIZATION

Globalization is an inevitable trend of the modern world,  help economies grow faster, interact and depend more on each other. In that trend, global competition appears on both levels countries and businesses. Every business wants to stand firm in the market needs appropriate guidelines and policies, especially in the field of human resource management.

The outstanding development of 4.0 science and technology has improved the quality of life for employees. There are more and more models of recruiting employees for working remotely or at home which had strong impact on the development process of human resource management. The structure of organizations has become more streamlined, and the relationship between interdependent parts and interpersonal interactions has also developed.

In the context of technological revolution, the trend of globalization has accelerated urgently the internationalization of the HR level. HR Professionals should strengthen the integration of all areas in the context of globalization, which requires the improvement of knowledge, listening and understanding to meet the needs of the organization.

Accompanying HR Professionals with internationalizing human resource management in Vietnam, PACE Institute of Management and SHRM Vietnam held a seminar on the International HR Seminar on November 8 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of many HR Professionals from various businesses and sectors.

The main speaker of the seminar is Mr. Vu Duc Tri The - Solution Director of PACE Institute of Management and representative of SHRM in Vietnam, the seminar brought new solutions and orientations for HR Professionals. One of the best solutions is development global competencies groups of the globalization.

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has conducted a comprehensive study with the participation of thousands of HR professionals worldwide to develop the SHRM Competency Model which identifies 3 behavioral competencies groups and 3 professional one that play a fundamental role for the success of HR professionals.

Following the model of SHRM Competency Model, a HR needs three groups of behavioral competencies, including Leadership, Business, and Interpersonal. In addition, HR also needs the competencies to focus on the surrounding objects such as People, Organizational and Workplace. Thereby, it can be seen that HR Professionals need to participate in a more strategic orientation; change and develop policies to support and attract talents; capture the latest trends in Human Resources in the world. and especially train the competency of technology and system administration.

At the seminar, the attendees had questions for the speakers and exchanged enthusiastically, shared the ways to cultivate themselves in daily work as well as contributing for the development of the business.
